JAMESON TABOR is a Pop Recording Artist, Songwriter, and Producer located in Los Angeles, CA, originally from Portland, OR.
It’s impossible not to feel the energy of this futuristic young artist. Jameson’s emotion-filled voice and youthful rhythmic attitude may bring to mind a “Bad” era Michael Jackson or the neo-soul sounds of Maroon 5 and Justin Timberlake. Originally from Portland, OR, his dancey and blues-inspired music is heartfelt and sincere, yet pairs with addictive pop melodies and musical phrases that are colorfully complex. His style falls under the genre of Dance-Pop, and distinctly what is called Bluestep.
At a young age, Jameson honed his performance skills through an upbringing in the theater, with a dream of one day writing for and starring on Broadway. His goal was to redefine what a musical could be and bring Pop music to the stage. At the local level, Jameson achieved great recognition and was awarded as an Outstanding Young Performer for his work as an actor in several leading roles. As a songwriter on three fully-produced stage works, Jameson received national recognition for his musical theater compositions. He has also been awarded for his skills in dance and choreography by the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF).
In 2015, Jameson made a career move to Los Angeles, realizing that he truly belonged in the pop world. One year later, he would produce and release his first original song "Pull Me In." The music video for the song went on to compete in and win film festivals in America and India. Facing the new struggles of city life, and balancing a relationship with anxiety, in March of 2017, Jameson released the culmination of his new experiences through a blues-pop fusion EP called “PURSUIT.” The album fights back against his past and present self as he faces head-on with the people and hardships that hold onto him in his real life. The music is nuanced and creatively thriving, yet portrays images of a dark and dream-like future.
Jameson continues to collaborate, perform and produce music with artists of many genres, both locally and internationally.
